Levario Ramirez

Third-generation Arizona copper. Grew up in Hayden — a smelter town where the soil had to be excavated because of contamination. A town that's lost 75% of its population. I've lived in Safford for 20 years.

Ran heavy equipment at Freeport-McMoRan's Morenci mine for six years. Perfect safety record. Earned Engineering Student of the Year 2022 at Eastern Arizona College. Built AI automation systems. Delivered DoorDash to keep the lights on.

I'm not a career politician. I'm a worker who got tired of watching wealth leave my community.

Why DSA?

Democratic Socialists of America. The "democratic" part isn't decoration — it's the whole point.

We don't want a revolution. We want to win elections, pass legislation, and prove that working-class politics works. If we're wrong, vote us out. That's how democracy works.

DSA means we believe the people who produce the wealth should have a democratic say in how it's distributed. Right now, Arizona's copper miners produce billions — and keep pennies. We think that math should change.

What I Believe

Workers deserve their share. Not a handout — their share. The people who dig the copper, grow the cotton, teach the kids, and care for the elderly are the backbone of LD-19. They deserve representation that fights for them.

I believe in specifics. That's why I'm running on six actual bills, not slogans. You can read every one of them, disagree with any of them, and tell me to my face why I'm wrong.

Residential well priority near industrial extraction. Quarterly monitoring. Compensation fund for well-deepening.

Raise severance tax 2.5% → 5%. Value-add manufacturing incentives near extraction sites. +$135M/year for communities.

Off-duty cannabis protection. Impairment-based testing. Elected safety committees with binding authority.

Rural Healthcare Access Act

The District

Legislative District 19 spans Graham, Greenlee, and parts of Cochise, Pima, and Santa Cruz counties. From the Morenci copper mine to the Green Valley retirement community. From Willcox wine country to the suburban growth of Vail.

Five counties. Different economies. One shared problem: the people who live here don't get their fair share of the wealth they create.
