Montana businessman and Republican benefactor Richard A. Dasen Sr. was convicted in May 2005 of promotion of prostitution, sexual abuse of children, and multiple felony prostitution counts. He paid women and girls for sex, took sexual photographs of girls under 18, and had sex with a 15-year-old girl. He was sentenced to 20 years with 18 suspended in September 2005.
