Republican anti-abortion activist Nicholas Morency from New Jersey pleaded guilty to possessing Child Sexual Abuse Material on his computer. At the same time he was collecting pornographic images of children, Morency was actively offering a $1.5 million reward on the Internet for the murder of any abortion provider. The National Abortion Federation (NAF) discovered Morency’s murder-for-hire website in January 1999 and reported it to the Justice Department, which shut down the site just 24 hours later. Morency was convicted in 2001 for his combined crimes involving child pornography and incitement to violence.
