Overview

Ken Starr was a conservative attorney and former Baylor chancellor who was forced out after Baylor’s rape scandal. The released Epstein archive also places Starr on Jeffrey Epstein’s legal team during the effort to preserve Epstein’s lenient plea deal.

Description

At Baylor, Starr was pushed out as chancellor after an internal review found the university had failed to respond adequately to sexual violence complaints against football players. That scandal made Starr a documented abuse-cover-up figure in this database.

Epstein Files

Released Epstein archive documents also place Starr inside Epstein’s defense operation. Archive material identifies Kenneth Starr as one of Epstein’s attorneys during the period when Epstein’s legal team was pressing Justice Department officials and delaying the final plea process. Another archived transmission discussing the controversial plea deal names Starr as a high-profile defense lawyer involved in Epstein’s response to the case. These files do not by themselves add a new abuse allegation against Starr, but they do document his direct role on behalf of Epstein during the resolution of the case.
