John Valdivia was mayor of San Bernardino and former Republican candidate for California’s 31st congressional district who was accused of sexual harassment by multiple women. The city of San Bernardino paid a $1.2 million settlement in 2024 to resolve sexual harassment lawsuits against the former mayor. Valdivia had dropped out of the congressional race before the allegations became fully public.
