Galen Fox was a Hawaiian Republican State Representative and House Minority Leader. On December 17-18, 2004, the 61-year-old Fox took a late night flight from Honolulu to Los Angeles. During the flight, Fox committed a sex crime against the sleeping 27-year-old woman sitting beside him by groping her. He was convicted of misdemeanor sex abuse. Fox resigned from the Hawaii legislature on December 1, 2005. He was sentenced to three months of house arrest, three years probation, and a $2,500 fine. Fox was also ordered to register as a sex offender and to undergo a psychiatric examination or sex offender treatment program.
