Description

Benson, 44, was a member of the Granbury Volunteer Fire Department, the deputy fire marshal, and a local businessman when investigators with the Hood County District Attorney’s Child Exploitation Unit searched his residence and reported finding child pornography. He was booked into Hood County Jail on two first-degree felony counts with bail set at $100,000 per charge. Following his arrest, the Republican Party of Hood County issued multiple statements on social media withdrawing its support.
